Hollowed Tree

"So let the sun... set upon the stir you feel...
it's better off for you to... "

I see the look...
piercing from your deepest depths,
you're thinking about how our lives could be
intertwined...
I really hate to disappoint
but you're barking up a hollowed dying tree.

The charge within...
that once aroused the sparks to flare,
those batteries are feeling old and drained
by a past...
devoid of anything that's real
and I really doubt that it will ever change.

So let the sun...
set upon the stir you feel,
it's better off for you to let it fade
into the fog...
that briefly caused your inner voice
to tell you there was more than what's displayed.
